The manga is still going even after 30 years although mainly it's because the writer takes hiatuses alot. Although, the story right now I Guts is trying to find a cure for Casca's mental instability, all while killing demons and aiding his new party members. The last page of the recent volume 39 Casca gets cured by the Flower Monarch, who is the leader of a place called Elfhelm. Now that she's cured i'm sure the manga is close to its conclusion, however Griffith still lurks.
Does not "chronological" refer to the time-line of the story rather than what we--the readers/viewers/sad people in Our Mom's basements--experience. Obviously, Berserk starts in medias res or after events which we then read through, blah, blah, blah.
Sooooo . . . technically the first chronological view of her would be during the Eclipse since that happens prior to the opening of the manga unless I am missing a cameo shot of her prior to the Eclipse that we see later in the manga.
I did not edit that caption since my question is a bit nitpicky so I figured I would ask your opinion. Perhaps something like, "as she first appears to readers of the manga" or maybe "as she appears in the first issue/chapter of the manga."
