Summary[]
Rakshas creeps up on Rickert. Rickert, anticipating conflict, is armed and ready. He fires a repeater crossbow at Rakshas, aiming to incapacitate him. An arrow hits Rakshas' new mask, which retains its characteristic three eyes but now features a feather-like pattern on each. Rakshas briefly laments that his new mask got scratched during the battle. Rakshas is surprised as Rickert, instead of escaping, has lured him into an ambush. Rickert tells him that he knows it is impossible to shake him and escape. Rakshas replies that -like many other apostles- he is also obsessed and specially entranced by the Falcon and desires to kill the him someday.
Silat enters the fray, chiding Rakshas on his way of treating assassination. During the fight, Rakshas notes that Silat has changed, with the son of the Bakiraka clan acknowledging Guts' influence on humbling him without mentioning his name, which makes Rickert wonder. It is then that two Bakiraka man the modified flamethrower pump and set Rakshas aflame.
