Separation (別れ Wakare?) is the nineteenth episode of the series. The episode adapts the second half of episode 33 to episode 36 and the second half of episode 37 to most of episode 38 from the manga.
Overview
As Guts leaves, he is challenged by Griffith. Guts defeats Griffith by breaking his sword. Psychologically damaged by the encounter, Griffith goes to princess Charlotte's chambers and has sex with her. As he leaves the next morning, he is apprehended.
