The priest of Enoch Village is the primary source of enforcement of the Holy See religious doctrine in the village.

Story[]

When Morgan returns to Enoch Village with the Black Swordsman Party and the young mage Schierke, the priest expresses doubt in their ability to contend with the trolls plaguing the village.[1] Once the trolls arrive and launch a large-scale invasion, the priest takes refuge atop the village church, where he witnesses, in awe, Schierke's displays of magic as she invokes the Four Kings of the World[2] and the Lady of the Depths.[3] The young witch tells him that the Four Kings she invoked are the same cardinal guardian angels of his own religious doctrine, despite the different names they may be referred to therein.[2]

Following the village's liberation, the priest agrees to the villagers' request to build a shrine dedicated to the Lady of the Depths. Outwardly, this is a display of religious tolerance in alignment with his established faith, but inwardly, it is a step toward further embracing the new magical perspective presented to him by Schierke.[4]
