Appearance[]

Dragons are large lizard-like creatures with large wings and tail[2] or just a long serpent like body with no wings and limbs[3] to fit their natural environment, be it the ocean or the earth. Due to the various family members in the dragon race, the dragon's habitat will vary. The spiked dragons have so far made their homes on top of castles while a more narrow kind of dragon nest in canyons.[2] Water dragons don't fly and swim in the ocean as sea serpents of which they themselves are prey to much larger ones.[3]

Abilities[]

It is unknown yet what dragons are capable of aside from brute strength and being capable of flying or swimming depending of the type of the dragon.[2] It is known that sea dragons can catch the scent of a wounded being and descend upon it to consume said being's flesh.[3]

Story[]

Fantasia Arc[]

Before the Great Wave of the Astral World, dragons were considered a myth and were the muse that led to Godot creating the Dragon Slayer at the request of his lord to answer the king's request for a sword capable of killing a dragon.[1] Following the Great Wave of the Astral World, when Griffith and the Band of the Falcon face the jötnar in battle, their leader is seen wearing armor made from the skeletons of several dragons.[4]
